Ugly Tile Transformed To Epoxy Chip On Office Floor
This past week, we completed one of our “Supreme Epoxy Chip” applications at Pioneer Forge in Pioneer, Ohio.
Needing something tough to replace their old tile floor in the restroom / first aid area and wanting something industrial-grade to replace the ugly tile in a couple of office rooms, we offered our epoxy chip – a extremely strong and beautiful resinous flooring system.
Resinous flooring systems are continuing to gain popularity with everyone (us included). Architects and designers along with home and business owners, are loving they way these floors have the unique ability to deliver seamless cleanliness, stain resistance, unrivaled durability and endless design possibilities.
On this particular job, we prepped the floor (tile removal, and diamond grinding) the week before during the factory’s Christmas break shutdown. This week we did all the fun stuff – putting down the gray base coat, throwing the blend of gray vinyl chips (1/8 of an inch in size) into the wet epoxy, and then top-coating with clear epoxy and urethane.
They were so happy with the final result, they scheduled us to come back later in the year to do the same thing in a locker room area & will probably have us do a few more office floors as well in the coming months!
