We could have finished it all in one week but as things usually go (I mean always go), everything didn’t work-out exactly the way we wanted them to. This time around, the problem that was delaying the project happened to be coming from the place we ordered it from and UPS. All we really needed to do to complete the job was to place the logo in front of the main entry doors, put a coat of clear epoxy down and then a final coat of urethane over top of that – all which could have been completed by last Saturday morning.
It wasn’t until Monday late afternoon that delivery truck dropped-off the logo – which meant we were all set to continue this morning. After buffing the floor and cleaning the dust, we positioned the logo (which we first carefully had to trim around the border with scissors) in front of the main entry doors on the North side of the basement.
The pictures here are of me masking around the logo, placing the two-part polyurea logo adhesive with a roller and then rolling on the second layer of epoxy over the whole floor. We’re now ready to finish-up tomorrow morning with a final coat of urethane – stay tuned for all the final shots!
