We did this epoxy flooring project in Montpelier, Ohio for the Montpelier Water Department. Their maintenance building on the west side of town was in need of a makeover on their break room and office floor and they called on us to come up with a solution. With an old gray floor paint that was pealing off in plenty of places, they knew that it was time for an upgrade.
Diamond grinding and shot blasting was done to prepare the floor and a quick setting polyurea product was used to fill cracks on the first day. With a tan base coat of industrial grade down, we broadcast a tan blend of 1/8″ chips into the wet epoxy. A thick coat of clear epoxy was utilized the following day to embed the chips and then a final coat of urethane as a scratch resistant coat on the final day.
