I am looking to have a full-rejection flake floor installed on my 525 square foot garage. I already have the flakes (Basalt blend), but have gotten too busy to do this myself. Here's what I'm looking for: Grind Slab, Apply Coat 1:  100% Solids, Clear Epoxy Primer, capable of 15 lbs. vapor suppression "vapor tolerant", Apply Coat 2: Body coat in 100% Solids Two-Part Epoxy Apply Flakes to Rejection, Apply Coat 3:  *Either* Clear Epoxy OR Urethane Top Coat to "fill" / cover the flakes NOTE:  I'm wanting the final floor top finish to be relatively "smooth".. NOT  bumpy... hence why two coats of Urethane, or one Epoxy Fill Coat + Urethane Top Coat, Apply Coat 4:  Final Urethane Top Coat w/ non-skid additive.

1/8/18    #13

Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 United States

We are building a new home and would like to have a polished concrete finish on approximately 900 sq. ft. of our basement floor. It is a walkout basement so access is at ground level. We are thinking of ordering a colored concrete and just polishing it. If it is reasonable, we may opt to do the entire 1,400 sq. ft. I would think that if you were to do this before I build any walls, it would save me money. Please let me know how long after pouring the floor we would need to wait. Also, how much time would you need to polish the 1,400 sq. ft.?

1/5/18    #7

Harrisonburg, VA 22802 United States

I have a home under contract. I'm considering an epoxy floor coating. I've calculated the square footage from the layout diagram. I expect it's very close to the actual sq. footage. I'm not sure if the small utility room has been subtracted from the overall sq. footage. I'm assuming it hasn't been. I do not need the utility room to have epoxy coating. The garage floor has been previously used, and does have a few oil\tire stains from use.

I just bought a house. There's a basement that's about 25'x25'= 625' square (I have diagrams and pix). It has a concrete floor that once had some paint and some vinyl, but is now mostly stripped. I'd like to resurface it with something cool -maybe Paint, maybe Dye/Stain, maybe Epoxy.
